Soils of quite different composition and genesis,which differ greatly in their strengthsare common in the territory of Lithuania.
Therefore, in order to avoid major problems in the future before building a residential building, research on the soil of the plot of land is mandatory. The report on design engineering geological soil research is a mandatory design document. The geological surveys required for the construction of a residential house are usually classified as the second (II) geotechnical category.
